Al Jurgela, Co-Founder
& Managing Member
Al Jurgela is Co-Founder & Managing Member of SilverMill, LLC. A seasoned general manager and strategist with over 10 years of full P&L responsibility, Al has been consistently recognized for his strategic, motivating management style resulting in high levels of team productivity in start-up, turn-around and acquisition-based growth scenarios.
Prior to SilverMill, Al was President & CEO of Environmental Express where he consummated two acquisitions, restructured the sales force driving organic revenue growth at three times market rates and double digit EBITDA growth, and ultimately managed the company sale process to Cole Parmer (a GTCR portfolio company).
At VWR, Al led and closed numerous international M&A transactions and was a multiple year recipient VWR Global Leadership awards for top line sales growth, new business development and special recognition.
Al’s foundation of business strategy and M&A expertise began during his combined years at Ernst & Young, LLP and Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division.
Al received his MBA from The Wharton School. He earned his MA in International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds his BS in Accounting from Boston College and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
